Service Projects
Our guild is honored to serve others through our fiber crafts.
Service knitting is an opportunity to use knitting to support people in our community. Each year we work with a nonprofit to decide what type of knitted items the organization feels will benefit the people that they serve the best. In the past, we have knit hats, scarves, cowls, dishcloths and even blankets.
Everyone is welcome to contribute knitted, crocheted, or woven items. We only ask that you use yarn that is machine washable so those receiving these precious gifts can easily care for them. Service knitting can be an opportunity to expand your skills by trying a new technique or a chance to take a break from a complicated project by making something simpler.

Rahab's Sisters
Rahab's Sisters envisions a resilience-building community where women, trans, and nonbinary individuals are valued, nourished, have a sense of belonging, and are safe from the impacts of gender-based marginalization. Their mission is to build community through radical hospitality with women and gender-diverse individuals marginalized by poverty, houselessness, sex work, violence, and substance use. We were honored to support them in this work in our small way.

Our guild will be making hats, cowls/scarves, and mittens/fingerless gloves. Please use machine washable yarn. Completed items and yarn can be dropped off at any guild meeting or by making other arrangements through email to outreach@puddletownknittersguild.com.
