About the presentation: When people’s hands hurt, they experience difficulties with the basic tasks of living, as well as activities that bring them pleasure. Taking time each day to care for your hands will treat and prevent injuries. Come learn about the history of knitting in physical and mental rehabilitation, and share in a conversation about how to protect your hands and stay present and connected to your yarn and needles.

About the speaker: Max is a Certified Hand Therapist who helps people recover from hand and upper body injuries, including trauma, repetitive strain, or arthritis flare-ups. He learned to knit and needlepoint as a child, and continues to enjoy knitting and being part of the fiber arts community.
