About the presentation:  An exploration of ombré color transitions and the various ways to approach striping. We will take a look at the rhythmic patterns of the number sequences used to generate different color smoothing effects.

About the speaker: Aaron Buck is the Senior Manager of Mill Technical Design at Pendleton Woolen Mills. On any given day, he may be designing fabrics for the Pendleton line or developing new fabric constructions: tweaking weave structures, yarn sizes, densities, and fiber content.

His experience covers both the fashion and home markets; in woven and print design. He found his passion for textiles and fashion in his studies at The Glasgow School of Art, FIT, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Aaron describes woven design as doing the same puzzle over and over again, yet getting a different result each time.…
