About the presentation: Those of us who knit, crochet, or otherwise create fiber arts know: there is something magical and healing about this medium. But why exactly is it so powerful?

Hailey will provide an overview of the concept of therapeutic art-making, including a shallow dive into neuroscience and how creativity impacts the brain, development, and healing. We will go into further detail on yarn arts -- knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery, and exactly how and why these tactile art materials have such a positive impact on us.

A short experiential element will be included, so be sure to bring your WIPs.
