About the presentation:  What elements make a pattern truly “size-inclusive” or “gender-expansive,” and why should all knitters — even straight-sized, cisgender knitters — care? This talk begins with an introduction to these concepts with examples from my own and other designers’ work. I then make a case for how this type of design benefits all knitters, and end by offering tips for how interrogating your assumptions about gendered design can help you knit sweaters that fit better, regardless of any given pattern designer’s approach.
