Meeting Check-in
There were 46 people in person and 35 people online through zoom.
Treasury Report
We have $8,800 in the bank currently. The full report should be available on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to email info@puddletownknittersguild.com .
Membership Renewal
It is time to manually renew your membership if you have not done so already. Once you have a proper subscription set up on our new website, it should auto renew for future years.
Anyone who registered before May 8th, 2024, should have an account created for our new website. If you have not logged in before, you can use the password reset flow with the email you used prior for membership.
Due to an issue with how the subscriptions were manually set up when transferring members to the new website, you should have gotten an email about that subscription being automatically cancelled. You will have to start a new subscription manually when logged into our new website.
We also offer membership scholarships, email info@puddletownknittersguild.com for more details.
Service Knitting
We are knitting hats, cowls, scarves, mittens, gloves, or any other warm weather wear for our service partners Rahab's Sisters. Please use machine washable yarn. Items are due in person at the February meeting. You can email outreach@puddownknittersguild.com to arrange a pick up or drop off if you cannot drop items off at the meeting.
Food Drive
You can bring food to donate at in person meetings, or donate directly to the Oregon Food bank.
Volunteers
We are a 100% volunteer run organization. If you are interested in anything big or small, long term or short, reach out to volunteer@puddletownknittersguild.com .

Yearly Hot Months
July & August are hot and thus will be online only meetings. Please plan to join us using the zoom link. In person portion of the meetings will resume in September.
Member Tip
We actually had two member tips this meeting, due to technical difficulties.
The first tip, is repeat of one of our favorite tips from the past, our July 2022 tip where Anna shows us how to do a provisional cast on.
The second tip was Joanne telling us how you determine the correct cord length for your circle needles for the project you are doing.
Speaker: Aaron Buck - Ombre Color Transitions: the Rhythm of Stripes
Aaron Buck (https://www.aaron-buck.com) is the Senior Manager of Mill Technical Design at Pendleton Woolen Mills.
He showed us the various ways you can go about adjusting the amount and distance between new colors when trying to go from one color to the other. Adjusting how quickly you transition to another color, can drastically alter how the transition looks.
He then showed us how you can use color transitions to get certain visual effects instead of just trying to create a smooth gradient between two colors.
Next Month
February 12th, 7pm, Emme Von (shey/they) - WIP It Into Shape; How To Utilize Your Stash.
